Modinet is an interdisciplinary research program on media and democracy. The program focuses on the implications of globalization and new digital media for political life, for established institutions within culture and media, as well as for the everyday life of citizens in the future.

Modinet includes around 50 researchers and Ph.D. students from the Social Sciences and Humanities, working in both public and private research environments.
The project is coordinated by a six-person steering committee, chaired by Professor Klaus Bruhn Jensen.
